Mullingar U9s Shine in Friendly Clash at Shay Murtagh Park

This Saturday morning, the Mullingar U9 rugby teams hosted North Kildare at Shay Murtagh Park, showcasing their skills under the sun. A total of 33 young players from Mullingar participated, split into three evenly matched teams, demonstrating talent and teamwork that could rival any display at Croke Park in the coming weeks.

The matches featured exceptional interplay and offloads, leading to impressive tries that wowed the spectators. Equally notable was the commitment to defence, with players energetically bringing down opponents or driving them back repeatedly.

After the games, the speed continued off the pitch, with the boys quickly making their way to the clubhouse to enjoy some well-deserved treats.

A special thanks goes out to the dedicated coaches who turn up every weekend to train these young stars, and to the parents whose support and assistance never wane.

The U9s are looking forward to their next and final match of the season, as they prepare to travel to Navan RFC on Sunday, April 28th. Let's cheer them on for another great performance!
