MRFC Senior Player Rugby Awards: A Celebration of Excellence

The Mullingar Rugby Football Club hosted its annual Senior Player Rugby Awards at the club house, celebrating a brilliant season and the standout performances of the team. President Conall Fitzgerald presented the awards and praised the players for their dedication and sportsmanship.

Kara Mulcahy took home the prestigious Player of the Year award, recognising her consistent performance and leadership throughout the season. Ellie O’Sullivan Sexton was voted the Players' Player of the Year by her teammates, showcasing her significant impact on the squad.

Tamara Nolan was named Newcomer of the Year, and Clodagh O’Brien won Most Improved Player. Alana Norris was awarded Young Player of the Year, and Cheddar received the Over 35 Player of the Year accolade. Cody Finanne was recognised as the Seconds Player of the Year, while Jack Boyhan also earned Young Player of the Year honours. Conor Gibney received the Senior Men's Player of the Year award for his outstanding contributions.

President Fitzgerald summed up the night perfectly, stating, "It's been a brilliant season. We look forward to a well-earned break and to starting again over the summer." The event highlighted the club's camaraderie and the players' unwavering spirit as they eagerly anticipate the next season.
