U14 Girls Blue Team Shine in Season Opener
The Mullingar RFC U14 Girls Blue Team kicked off their season in style with a thrilling away match against Greystones. Despite traveling with only 12 players, the coaches agreed to take on a larger Greystones squad of 13. The first half saw fantastic teamwork from the Mullingar girls, who dominated with six tries to Greystones’ one, showcasing excellent phase play and smart use of space.

However, the second half presented a different challenge as Greystones used their extra player and physicality to push Mullingar back. The Mullingar girls spent much of the half defending their try line, with several players pushing through knocks and bumps to keep the opposition at bay. Their resilience paid off, as they held strong to claim a 37-17 victory.

Captain Sarah Gallagher led by example, inspiring her team to give their all in a well-deserved win. The girls' incredible determination and teamwork set a strong tone for the season ahead.
