Mullingar U14 Blue Girls Secure Impressive Win Over Wexford

Mullingar Rugby Football Club’s U14 Blue team earned a well-deserved 24-14 victory against a strong Wexford side in a home game on Saturday afternoon. From the kickoff at 12:30 PM, Wexford came out aggressively, but Mullingar's defense held firm.

After 15 minutes, Mullingar’s Sarah G made a brilliant break, setting up Mia H to score the first try, which was converted by Jessica N. Wexford responded quickly, tying the score at 7-7. Just before halftime, a crisp pass from Cara M found Gabriella, who powered through the Wexford defense for Mullingar’s second try, leaving the halftime score at 12-7.

In the second half, Mullingar struck again through fullback Jessica N, stretching the lead to 17-7. Wexford applied heavy pressure, but a stunning run by Sarah G extended Mullingar’s lead to 24-7, with another conversion by Jessica N.

Wexford managed one more try late in the game, but Mullingar’s defense held strong in the final minutes, securing a 24-14 win.

It was a solid performance from the Mullingar U14 Blue team, who continue to impress this season.
