Mullingar U14s Show Promise in Defeat to Wexford Wanderers

Mullingar Rugby Football Club’s U14 team faced a tough challenge against Wexford Wanderers at home, ultimately losing 31-12 in a hard-fought contest.

Mullingar started brightly, with Ollie Hughes delivering a pinpoint 50/22 kick, leading to the first try from Liam Costello off the resulting line-out. Hughes added the conversion, putting Mullingar on the scoreboard.

In the second half, debutant Ryan Milligan made an immediate impact, scoring a well-taken try on the left wing. While the result didn’t go their way, the team showed plenty of promise and fight throughout the game.

The final score was 31-12 in favor of Wexford Wanderers, but Mullingar’s U14 squad can be proud of their effort and look forward to bouncing back in future games.
